ECU's Graduate Diploma Of Brewing provides opportunities for those wishing to gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to pursue a career in the brewing industry.
The course covers the science underlying brewing, materials and worts, yeasts and beer types and brewing operations and includes practical experience in a micro brewery and work placement within the industry.

Brewmasters Bill Hoedemaker and Peter Nolin, one of Australia's most highly awarded brewing teams, having brewed the beers that helped put Fremantle's Sail and Anchor Pub Brewery back on the map, and adding to the changing face of craft brewing in Australia.
With a mission statement to craft brew natural beers to a world class standard using original recipes designed for the Australian lifestyle and climate, Australia's Craft Brewery was born. With a fresh logo and enthusiasm on tap,Gage Roads Brewing Co opened In 2005.
Gage Roads Brews; Premium Lager, midstrength PILS, India Pale Ale (IPA), Wahoo Premium Ale, KUTT (a craft brewed low carbohydrate beer) and Blue Angel cider. They have also brewed some flavoursome limited release beers; London Best, New World Wheat, Saison and Trippel.

Gage Roads is 25% owned by Woolworths and produces several beers under the Sail and Anchor label. These include the popular Australian lager Dry Dock.

On March 23rd 2000, Nail Brewing Australia was launched at Bobby Dazzlers in Murray Street, Perth. The Pub Brewery was packed to capacity with people wanting to get a taste of Perth's own Nail Ale. The next day, Nail Ale was out of stock!

Nail no longer brews at Bobby Dazzlers but remains one of Western Australia's most awarded Breweries. Nail Stout was awarded Champion Western Australian Beer at the 2009 Perth Royal Beer Show and has also won a mass of other awards. While Nail Ale always scores consistantly well throughout Beer awards.
Nail is Best Found on tap at Clancy's Fremantle and Applecross and Moondyne Joe's Fremantle.
